The use of Activon® Manuka honey on paediatric burns

Scald - 9 days post burn. Previous treatment: No first aid, cooling-SSD applied daily. Total of 3 debridements under GA, Ibuprofen started on 50mg TDS; following day upgraded to 200mg TDS. No secondary dressing used - naked on monoblock chair for 8 days. The patient was a 6 year old boy.

Pressure garments purchased from Sydney Concorde Burn Unit. Thanks to the RSL Baretto branch for purchasing the Medical Grade Manuka Honey dressings used to treat the patient.
